Invisalign uses a series of customized, clear Aligners to straighten teeth. Thousands of orthodontists in the United States and Canada use Invisalign to accurately and effectively treat their patients. Invisalign Aligners are:
- Nearly invisible – Invisalign Aligners do not attract attention while you are wearing them! Friends, family members, and co-workers may never even know you are wearing Aligners unless, of course, you tell them!
- Comfortable to wear – The Aligners are made from a special plastic that has smooth, rounded edges. So, they won’t irritate your mouth and soft tissues like braces can.

We create an exact digital impression of your teeth and gums. Then, Dr. Held customizes your treatment plan and works with Align to create one or more series of Aligners, where each Aligner is customized to fit your mouth and to apply light pressure to your teeth. As you change Aligners over time, they will move your teeth into the proper position.

How Does Invisalign Work?
When you begin your Invisalign treatment, you will receive four sets of custom fit Aligners. Each of those first four sets of Aligners is worn for two weeks, so that you learn what it feels like to finish a set of Aligners. After two weeks, you can switch your Aligners to the next set and continue straightening your teeth. You will repeat this pattern until your next appointment with us, where Dr. Held and you will discuss your experience and whether you would like to accelerate the frequency that you change your Aligners. Over time you will notice changes in the alignment of your teeth, and in just a few months, you will have a straighter, healthier smile!
